Opportunities for Giving

As a non-profit organization, HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre is solely dependant on its community for support. HopeSpring is not supported by any larger organizations, and does not receive government funding.

Generous support of HopeSpring comes from a number different sources, including:

• Corporations
• Individuals
• Annual Third-Party Events
• Various other fundraisers (some only as one-time events)
• Foundation Grants
• In Memorium donations (either designated by family or selected by individuals)
• Directed (by employee donor) United Way donations
• Bequests
• Pledges

Frequently, people ask "what can I do" and want to help HopeSpring but are not sure how to go about it. Your donation to HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre is used to provide support to cancer patients and their families in Waterloo Region and the surrounding areas.

The following list offers some ideas, based on what individuals, groups of people or businesses have done to Support HopeSpring:

• Send a donation
• Have a "Pay to Dress Down" day at work
• Donate your time or skills as a volunteer
• Make a gift donation in honour of a birthday or anniversary
• Instead of a "gift exchange", make a group donation
• Sponsor one edition of our newsletter "The Journey"
• Ask your Service Club to support HopeSpring
• Make an "In Memorium" donation to HopeSpring
• Pledge your support on a monthly basis using a credit card
• Ask your employer to match your donation
• Make a gift of stocks, bonds or make HopeSpring the beneficiary of a life insurance policy
