Last night was a very proud night for HopeSpring.  The Volunteer Action Centre Impact Awards were held at City Hall and HopeSpring volunteers Pat Carty and Trish Beahan were both nominated in separate categories.  

Trish was nominated in the category of Innovative Involvement and has been instrumental in raising over $118,000 through her involvement as the choreographer for Dancing with the Stars for 4 years.  She has given over 2000 hours of her time to this event.  Quite a phenomenal…

LOCAL CANCER SUPPORT CENTRE EXPANDS - RELOCATES TO CONRAD MEDICAL CENTRE

( Monday,March 5, 2012, Waterloo) HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre, a local not-for-profit that provides support to those with cancer and their caregivers, is opening the doors to their new expanded facility March 12.

Having outgrown their trademark house at 43 Allen Street in Waterloo, it is time for HopeSpring to move on from the century home where so many have found comfort, to a new expanded…

Application Forms for the 2012 Spiritual Warrior Scholarship Awards are now available. They will be in highschool guidance offices by the end of the week, or you can download a PDF here.

Three awards of $2,000 each will be awarded to students who:

a) have had an intimate encounter with cancer, either personally or through a family member or friend.
b) planning to attend their first year at a post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis.
c) at the time of application, they…

Important…

We have a date! HopeSpring Cancer Support's new location at the Conrad Medical Centre will open to the public Monday, April 2, 2012.

To allow us time to move out and settle in to our new space, our current location at 43 Allen Street West will be closed as of Wednesday March 28.
