Henna for Healing

Henna4YouThe henna is applied freehand using no stencils. The artist draws the design onto the participant.The design lasts approximately two weeks and dries within an hour. You may want to try a Henna crown as an alternative to a wig. You will benefit from a very calming and relaxing experience, feel strong and beautiful and gain self confidence and self esteem during your healing process. They also help relieve the burning side effects experienced during chemo.

Look Good, Feel Better Workshop

Look Good Feel BetterThis program is offered by the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association Foundation. It is a coping skills workshop that helps women manage the appearance-related side-effects of treatment, such as hair loss and changes to skin tone.  Trained cosmeticians and hair replacement professionals teach skin care, cover-up and hair alternatives, and provide solutions for women to look good and feel better.  Participants are given a complimentary kit of cosmetics and personal care products for use at home.

The Financial Cost of Cancer: Exploring Possibilities

Come learn what financial options are available to help you! In this workshop you will receive an overview of the income maintenance programs and drug coverage options available to you. Applications for benefits will be available at the workshop.

Understanding Relationship Stress - NEW

A cancer diagnosis can bring undo stress and anxiety to relationships, particularly with those closest to us. In this two session workshop, learn basic tools for improving your communications; resolving conflicts and misunderstandings; and for learning how to identify our own emotional needs and stress triggers. A handout detailing topics covered is provided to enhance your learning.
