Encourage and Empower with Gloria
As a Director at Large of the Board of Directors at HopeSpring Cancer Centre, Gloria Shoon is invested in bringing hope and healing to members and their caregivers in everything she does and especially through this excellent program.
| This program is focused on healing and empowerment and is perfectly suited for members and their caregivers. This program tackles important topics such as fear of cancer recurrence, how to deal with bad habits and op good ones, healing skills, mental health and much more.
Goal: to empower members and caregivers with the tools to deal with the difficult emotions that come with a cancer diagnosis and to leave them feeling encouraged to continue living their best life without fear of the future.
Participants will benefit from the wealth of knowledge offered by Dr. Rob Rutledge (Radiation Oncologist, Associate Professor at Dalhousie University and Chair and CEO at Healing and Cancer Foundation) and will gain answers to many of the difficult questions that surround a cancer diagnosis. They will understand how to deal with the difficult emotions they may have, ultimately leaving them feeling empowered, encouraged and more in control of their lives.
Outline of Sessions: Each month a new topic will be tackled. The session topic will be split so as to listen to one part each week.
Prior to each week’s session, participants will be notified of the expected segment to have watched and then during the 1 hr session, Gloria Shoon will facilitate the discussion around the specific segment pertaining to that week.
