Janine holds a Master’s Degree in Education (counselling) from Western University and has worked as a Rehabilitation/Return to Work Specialist for over 25 years in the insurance industry.
Janine is a duo cancer survivor (metastic melanoma and breast cancer) and is mom to four adult sons and a 6 lb yorkie. She is married and lives in Cambridge and is passionate about helping other cancer survivors through their journey whether it be finding the perfect wig, or assistance and guidance with navigating returning to work

Program Overview
The Return to Work program is designed to help cancer survivors explore the practical and emotional steps of resuming employment after treatment. Led by a Return-to-Work Specialist and cancer survivor, this interactive session creates a safe space to ask questions, share experiences, and build confidence.

Address anxiety, self-doubt, and workplace concerns.
● Preparing for Your Return
Plan for schedules, energy management, and gradual reintegration.
● Navigating the Return-to-Work Process
Understand communication with employers, required documentation, and legal rights.
● Workplace Accommodations
Explore flexible schedules, modified duties, and supportive resources.
Interactive Format
● Guided discussion led by a return-to-work specialist
● Q&A throughout the session
● Peer sharing and resource handouts
