By way of introduction, my name is Kotapola Sumedha, and I have been a Buddhist monk in the Theravāda tradition for over 22 years. I first entered monastic life at the age of 14 and was fully ordained at 21. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Peradeniya and a Master of Arts in Theology from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. Over the past two decades, I have traveled to more than 30 countries, offering meditation and spiritual guidance to diverse communities. I also spent one and a half years in the United States sharing Buddhist teachings. My work focuses on the threefold Buddhist training of Generosity (Dāna), Morality (Sīla), and Meditation (Bhāvanā), which are powerful methods for cultivating calm, resilience, and overall well-being.
